Meet Our Optometrists

Dr. Claire Whinery is originally from Pampa, Texas. She moved to Wichita Falls in 2013 to attend Midwestern State University where she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree. During this time, she worked for Brookstone Eye Center as optometric technician and gained further interest in optometry while working under Dr. Kisner.

She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus Univeristy in 2022. The decision to move back to Wichita Falls was an easy one, as Dr. Whinery had already come to love the commmunity! She has a special interest in primary care, low vision, and scleral contact lenses. Dr. Whinery loves to spend her free time outdoors with her husband, Dustin, and their two dogs, Thor and Marli. She looks forward to serving the Wichita Falls and Bowie areas for all of their eye care needs.
